The Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) formerly known as AISECT University, has announced the Shiksha Mitra Scholarship Scheme for the 2020 academic session. The scholarship scheme worth 50 Lakhs is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The Shiksha Mitra Scholarship Scheme is given to the students as the fee waiver based on the marks obtained by them in 12th standard board results. The scholarship scheme was launched in 2011 and is the largest university-aided Scholarship Program in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

While explaining the objectives of the scholarship scheme, The Chancellor of RNTU, Mr. Santosh Kumar Choubey said that the main purpose of the scholarship is to boost the accessibility and affordability for students coming from underprivileged backgrounds, such that they can access the updated courses at nominal fees.
He also said that the Shiksha Mitra Scholarship Scheme provides opportunities for everyone who are looking ahead to be a part of an advanced learning environment and wants to avail the hands on skill to build a prospering future for themselves.
RNTU is India's first university offering 32 skill courses through RNTU-NSDC Skill Academies.
RTNU is a UGC recognized and NAAC accredited university and is also a member of AIU and ACU.

The University is approved by AICTE, NCTE, BCI, INC, MP Paramedical Council and offers over 80 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses under 12 faculties.
