The college also provides sports facilities and students are very happy to be here
Socieites and clubs are one of the best part of any college.
Campus life is very good, if you want to make the best out of your 4 year, Thapar is the way to go!
Campus life is very good, I will say it's one of the best.
Very good opportunities for students who need to learn Computers and want to skill in it even after being from non CS branch.
I Also like the hostel facilities provided by the campus these are very good and well maintained
TIET has very good infrastructure including lecture hall, library and synthetic track

Dislike

The faculty-student ratio is not good (1:100) for the CSE department, which is one of the flaws here, and many labs are taken by PhD scholars who are just awful.
There is no job placement and no help available, even though they have received the fees. They are least bothered, Mr. Bawa, the placement head.
There are various types of scholarships in our college, which enable even poor students to study here.
The campus is very big, but the medical facilities are very poor. No ambulance service is provided during emergencies.
Now, the hostels for the 1st year are the worst, whereas the hostels for the 3rd and 4th years are newly built, so they have all the amenities.
The only negative thing is the intake of students, which is increasing year by year and could prove to be stressful for the placement cell and staff.

We have a separate placement cell and center for the training and development of the students. The placements are decent with big tech firms like Blackrock, Apple, Microsoft, etc coming to campus. Non-tech roles are great too. Placements are quite good for core branches.

The teachers here are very helpful and amazing. They provide the knowledge required for our field. I chose CSE for money and I love coding. The faculties here are very educated. Mid-semester were too early like 2 months from the start of our classes.

The college placements are great and on-campus placements are also great. Companies start visiting after the end of the second year for placements. Around 300 plus companies do come. Average packages are increasing with each year.

Students are eligible for internships at the end of 2nd year which is 4th semester or at the beginning of 3rd year. Regarding placements, seminar starts to held at the beginning of 4th year i.e. 7th semester and the Companies comes in a very short duration after this semester The highest package was 55 lakh per annum and the average is from 12-15 lakh per annum
