Amity University, Jaipur offers PhD degrees in 20 streams both in Full-time and Part-time mode. 

• Admissions to the course are done twice in a year. 
• Full-time PhD Course student should devote his time thoroughly in the research field. 
• Candidates must have completed their Masters from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks. 
• Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the PET as per the University guidelines. PET will be followed by an interview on the same day of examination. 

Amity University, Jaipur Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

The basic Eligibility Criteria that a candidate should fulfil to seek admission in Amity University Jaipur, PhD course is that a candidate should have a Masters degree in the relevant field with minimum 55% marks. 

Admission to this course is based on the candidate's valid score in PhD entrance exams. Qualifying students need to appear for the English language test and personal interview conducted by the University. After clearing all the rounds, a merit list is released showing all the selected students in the list.

• Candidates who have completed M.Phil can also apply for the admission to PHD course.
• Candidates seeking admission in the course should have a minimum of 60% in 10th and 10+2 level.
• Candidates from the University of Chartered Accountants of India with minimum 55% marks can also apply for the admission
• Admission to the PhD course is conducted twice in a year i.e., in January and July.
• Foreign students need to carry all the certificates of Eligibility for applying to Amity University.

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the PhD course is initiated by the PhD entrance test. Then after the GD and Personal Interview round takes place the selected candidates are called for a further admission process. The admission to the university is conducted in both offline and online mode.

Entrance Test Details

The Entrance Test shall be of one and half hour duration (i.e. 90 minutes) and of 100 marks consisting of 100 objective type of questions. The Entrance Test will have two Sections (administered in one go), as mentioned here under:

How to apply online? 

• Visit the official website of the University
• Click on Apply for 2021 Admissions
• An application form will be displayed on the screen
• Fill all the sections correctly with appropriate information.
• Candidates need to enter a valid email I'd and contact number.
• Upload the recent photograph and signature as instructed on the screen
• Pay the application fee online and apply.
• The application fee can be submitted online via debit/credit, net banking facility.
• Click on the submit button.
• Print the application form for future reference.

• Download the application form
• Enter the basic details and download the form in supportable format.
• Print the application form and fill it correctly with black ball pen.
• Attach all the required documents in the form. Paste the recent photograph.
• Post the duly application form along with DD in person to the university.

The application fee for Online and offline form is 1100INR.

Documents required at the time of filling the application form:

• Scanned Passport size photograph of 3.5*4.5cm
• Scanned Marksheet of 10th, 12th, graduation, PG.
• Employment verification certificate. Applicable to those who have applied for a part-time PhD Course.

Amity University, Jaipur Ph.D. Course Details

The PhD program is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. Ph.D. full time is for minimum 3 years and Ph.D. part time for minimum 4 ½ years. Maximum duration in case of both the modes is 6 years. PhD Course is offered in the university under 39 Specializations. Below is the detailed information regarding the course.

• All candidates admitted to Ph. D. programs have to compulsorily do the course work assigned and shall be required to take a written examination for the same. Coursework period will ordinarily be of minimum six months duration.
• A candidate will earn credits for a Course Unit only if he obtains a minimum of Grade B+ (Points 07 on scale of 10). If a candidate fails to get qualifying Grade B+, he / she will be given second opportunity to improve his/her qualifying Grade to B+, i.e. Point 7 on ten point scale failing which his/her registration is liable to be cancelled.Scholars shall be required to undertake coursework for a minimum period of one semester, not exceeding one academic year from the date of the provisional registration

Amity University, Jaipur has divided the PhD course students under certain categories. A student who wants to pursue PhD Coursatin Amity University should fall under any one of the below categories. Some of the categories are:

• Sponsored Candidate: Sponsored candidates getting Government/Semi-Government /Private or other scholarships/Fellowship/stipends who apply for admission through the sponsoring organisation. (PhD Full Time or Part-time based on employment status)
• Regular self-financed Candidate: Students who are self-employed or working in any organisations are eligible to apply.
• Corporate Research Scholar: Candidates working in any corporate company and having ten years of experience can pursue PhD degree part-time.
• Working Faculty outside Amity: Faculty members of different colleges or universities can also pursue a degree part-time.

As part of its Nation Building activities, the Amity Science, Technology & Innovation Foundation (ASTIF) awards Fellowships to brilliant young researchers and scientists. Fellowships are available in all disciplines and are not restricted in number. 

Eligibility for Fellowship in Ph.D.

The candidate must have first class academic record throughout up to Master's Degree from a recognized college / University. The ASTIF Fellowship will be given to only those candidates who are not getting fellowship from any other agency and those who have shown remarkable progress in research work after joining Amity's PhD Program.
