Ans. To appear for annual or sem exams of the University of Rajasthan, a certain percentage of attendance is held mandatory by the university. Students who wish to be eligible for their exams are required to have 75% attendance in a semester. In case the attendance requirement is not met, students will not be permitted to appear for their exams. 

Ans. The University of Rajasthan offers a group insurance policy which is mandatory for all the students. Amount of INR 100 is collected from the students as group insurance fee. Under this scheme, INR 6 lakhs is given to a students' nominee who died or whose two limbs got completely destroyed, INR 3 lakhs is given if one limb is destroyed, and INR 45,000 if the student gets hospitalised. 

Ans. The University of Rajasthan has 7 constituent colleges which provide library and sports facilities to its students, and also organise workshops and seminars. These constituent colleges of UNIRAJ are:

• University Commerce College
• University Law College
• University Law College Centre - II
• University Maharani College

• University Rajasthan College
• University Five-year Law College 

Ans. The following categories of candidates will be eligible for a weightage of 4% of the total aggregate marks prescribed for the qualifying examination while preparing the merit list for

admission to a course:

• Position in KVS/ NVS / IPS / CBSC/ Vidhya Bharti Regional /Cluster/Rajasthan School DistrictTournaments.
• Position in Inter Colleges tournament organised by University Sports Board.
• Position in the All India Sanskrit Inter University tournaments.

Ans. Yes, students who have excelled in sports in their previous classes will be eligible for 7% weightage of the total aggregate marks prescribed for the qualifying examination while preparing the merit-list for admission to a course. The categories of students eligible for this weightage are:

• Those who have represented the University in games and sports in the All India Inter University Tournaments held under the auspices of the AIU
• First, Second, and Third position in the West Zone Inter University Tournaments.
• Position in Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (K.V.S.)/ Navodya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (N.V.S.) / Vidhya Bharti/ IPS /Sainik School NationalTournaments.
• Position in Rajasthan State School Games Tournaments.

Ans. Wards of Kashmiri Migrants are given several concessions during their admissions at the University of Rajasthan. The following concession shall be admissible to the wards of Kashmiri Migrants as per the direction of Government of India:

• Relaxation in cut-off percentage upto 10% subject to minimum eligibility requirement;
• Increase in intake capacity of upto 5% course-wise;
• Reservation of at least one seat in merit quota in technical/professional institutions;
• Waiving off of domicile requirements.

Ans. Yes, in-service candidates i.e. candidates who are employees of Central or State government, statutory bodies, government controlled undertakings, banks, or government recognised and aided colleges/institutes/registered firms can apply for admissions at UNIRAJ. Such candidates must mandatorily produce a 'No Objection-Cum-Character Certificate' from their employers for admission to UNIRAJ. Only on the production of this certificate, the candidate will be allowed to seek admission in various courses under the faculties of arts, law, science, commerce, etc.

Ans. The duration of the UG programme at UNIRAJ is 4 years or 8 semesters. Students who desire to undergo a 3-year UG Programme will be allowed to exit after completion of the 3rd year. Additionally, if a student wants to leave after the completion of the first or second year, the student will be given a UG Certificate or UG Diploma, respectively, provided they secure the prescribed number of credits.

Ans. Yes, the University of Rajasthan offers several value-added courses to provide students with additional skills and experiences. The value-added courses offered at UNIRAJ include understanding India, environmental science/education, courses in cutting-edge areas, courses related to Health & Wellness, Yoga education, and engagement in activities such as the NCC, NSS, social

work, and sports.

Ans. University of Rajasthan offers a UG degree (hons with research) which is of 4-years duration. Students who secure 75% marks and above in the first six semesters and wish to undertake research at the undergraduate level can choose a research stream in the fourth year. They should do a research project under the guidance of a faculty member of the University/College. The research project/dissertation will be in the major discipline. Students who secure 200 credits, including 12 credits from a research project/dissertation, are awarded UG Degree (Honours with Research).

Ans. The University of Rajasthan conducts different activities to assess the academic growth of its students. Its assessment methods include regular assignments, quizzes, examinations, presentations, projects, and research papers. By conducting these activities, UNIRAJ assesses the students' analytical thinking skills, communication skills, and the ability to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios. 

Ans. UNIRAJ conducts semester exams at the end of each semester which comprises of 80% of the total marks of the course/subject. The question paper is divided into 2 parts, Part-A consists of questions based on knowledge, understanding and applications of the topics/texts covered in the syllabus. Whereas, Part-B of the question paper consists of 4 questions which shall include solving problems. 

Ans. URATPG has around 37 test subjects. However, students are allowed to choose 3 test subjects at max. The test subjects for URATPG include Economics, French, Geography, Hindi, Business Administration, Computer Application, Geology, Psychology, Zoology, Political Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Urdu, Visual Arts: Painting/Applied Arts/Sculpture, Sanskrit, Home Science, Law, Botany, Anthropology, etc.

Ans. The University of Rajasthan offers several one-year PG diploma courses. These include PG Diploma in cost and work accountancy, cooperation, criminology, computer accounting and auditing, environmental law, remote sensing, European studies, labour law, etc. The eligibility for these courses is to have a bachelor's degree from a recognised board/university.

Ans. Students who wish to seek admission for LLB at University of Rajasthan can apply in its University Law College and University Law College - II. Each of these constituent colleges have 300 seats. The eligibility criteria for this course is to pass 10+2 with at least 45% marks for general & OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST category from a recognised board of education. However, students from universities situated outside the state of Rajasthan must have a minimum score of 69% or above.

Ans. The University of Rajasthan has a central library building near the main gate of the university. It has a seating capacity of 750 students and more than 5 lakh books, bound periodicals, etc. Alongside, the university has 7500+ e-journals under e-Shodh Sindhu Consortium. This library also provides other services like reference services, OPAC services, internet & email facility, reprographic services, RFID facility, etc to its students and faculty members. 

Ans. Yes, UNIRAJ provides separate hostel facilities for its male and female students. At present, the university is running 19 hostels, out of which 14 are situated in the main campus and the remaining are located in its constituent colleges. The hostels have a hygienic environment and offer a comfortable place to live. A youth festival called 'Basant' is also organised in the campus for the hostel inmates every year. 

Ans. Yes, the University of Rajasthan has reserved seats for various categories of students. Each hostel of UNIRAJ has reserved 16% of seats for SC, 12% of seats for ST, 22% of seats for OBC, 10% for EWS, 5% for MBC, and 5% for SFS. The remaining vacant seats, if any, will be transferred to general category students. 

Ans. Various Ph.D programmes are offered in the University of Rajasthan across different specialisations. Some of these Ph.D disciplines include English, Education, Bioinformatics & Biotechnology, Law, Management, Anthropology, Sociology, Philosophy, Nanotechnology, Library & Information Science, Cognitive & Neuroscience, Business Administration, Public Administration, and many more. 

Ans. Yes, UNIRAJ has a policy of giving a certain percentage of weightage to candidates who have taken part in mountaineering. It includes: 

• Basic Course in Mountaineering organised by the University/Recognised Institutes - 1% weightage 
• Advanced Course in Mountaineering organised by University/Recognised Institutes - 2% weightage 
• Adventure Programmes organised by University/the Ministry of Education and reached 20,000 ft. height or above - 3% weightage 
• National Representation in International Expeditions - 5% weightage

Ans. The University and its constituent colleges offer well-furnished accommodation for the students in both boys hostel and girls hostel. There are 13 hostels within the main campus and rest 5 hostels are situated at the constituent colleges. Only students admitted to the university are eligible for hostel admission. Some of them are Gokhale hostel, Vivekanand hostel, Maharana Pratap hostel, Annie Besant hostel, Mother Teresa hostel

Ans. After completing MBA, there are many career prospects available for the student life-like lecturer at a college or University, Assistant human Resource manager, relationship Manager, Marketing Executive, business analyst of the IT sector. 

Ans. The no. of seats allocated in each course are as follows:

• The total number of seats allocated to BCA, BA, and BCom in different colleges are 120, 480, and 420.
• The total number of seats allotted to BBA and B.Ped are 120 and 40 respectively.
• The total number of two different certificate courses varies from 15 to 40 seats.

Ans. Yes, Rajasthan University has a grievance redressal cell where students can register their complaints. The cell is user friendly and helps to keep track of the complaints. The grievances are required to be resolved at the earliest.

Ans. The Infonet centre of UNIRAJ provides internet facilities to the students and faculties as well  by connecting all academic units, administrative offices with optical fibres. This is used as an internet gateway for the campus wide university networks by providing high bandwidth 1 GBPS. 

Ans. Yes, UNIRAJ has signed MOUs with international universities and negotiates, coordinates and partners with them to develop exchange programs for faculty and students. This causes 57 mobilizations of students and faculties to have taken place so far. Out of this, 26 students and 2 faculty members have gone from UNIRAJ to Paul Valery University and many other international universities.

Ans. Yes, there are various centers in UNIRAJ such as the Centre for European Studies that organises international workshops for the students. In this workshop, experiences  related to teaching, learning and research methodology are shared by foreign university professors. Besides this, translation workshops on methodologies and techniques for German, Spanish and French languages are also organised.
