IIT Madras M.Sc Biotechnology: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

1. Candidate should have passed B.S./B.Sc. in the relevant stream from the recognized University or equivalent to it.
2. He/She should be obtained a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.
3. All SC/ST candidates are eligible for the relaxation of 5%.

Admission is based on JAM Score.

Financial Assistance:

Scholars admitted to M.S. programmes under the Regular scheme are eligible for the following Half-time Research Assistantship (HTRA) for which:

• They should work for 8 hours per week in the Departments to earn this assistantship.
• Renewal of assistantship every semester will be contingent on enrolment, satisfactory progress in research work and good performance during the preceding semester in the discharge of responsibility as a research assistant.

Rs.12400/- p.m for the period of 2 ½ years

MS Programme in External/Part-time/Staff (1½ - 4 Years)

Eligibility: Qualifications as mentioned above and national level test may not be required.
