B.Pharm degree offered through the Department of Pharmacy at KAHE (deemed-to-be) University was launched in 2015 with approval from PCI. The four-year degree is offered in the semester-mode, under the Choice-based Credit System. The medium of instruction and evaluation of the program is English. KAHE also allows lateral entry into the third semester for candidates who have qualified a PCI-recognized D. Pharm program.

The B. Pharm program at KAHE is of 4 years’ duration split into eight semesters. The program is delivered through classroom lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions. The minimum credit requirement to complete the degree is 209. Students who did not study Mathematics or Biology may be required to earn additional 2 – 3 credits for Remedial Mathematics or Remedial Biology courses in the first semester.
Students are required to complete 150 hours of Practice School during the seventh semester and submit a written report which is evaluated during the semester-end examination. Students need to choose two elective courses from a list of nine in their final semester.
A mandatory group project work related to an elective subject has to be taken up during the final semester and presented during semester-end Practical exams.
Students are evaluated on the basis of Internal Assessment and Semester-end Examination.

Ans. Evaluation of B. Pharm students at KAHE involves both Internal Assessment and Semester-end examination. The Internal Assessment is done through continuous evaluation and sessional exams. The marks of Internal Assessment are clubbed with the semester-end examination to arrive at the total score secured in a particular course.
