• It is a 3 years full time course. 
• For admission into Ph.D courses of Dayalbagh Educational Institute, candidates must have completed their Masters from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks. 
• Basic admission criteria prescribed for Ph.D admission is Objective Type Written Test and RET (Research Entrance Test). 
• RET is an objective type examination that covers three areas: Aptitude and Subject-Specific knowledge. The duration of the examination is one and half hours. 
• Students who have qualified NET -JRF/ NET-LS/ SLET or GATE are exempted from RET examination. 
• The Institute also offers an integrated course of M. Phil and Ph.D in Theology

• For admission into Ph.D courses of Dayalbagh Educational Institute, candidates must have completed their Masters from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks. 
• For admission in Ph.D Mechanical Engineering, candidates must have completed B. E/ B. Tech in the relevant discipline (with an year of work experience) with 75% of aggregate minimum marks (70% for reserved category). 
• For admission in any of the Arts program of Ph.D, candidates must have completed their post graduation in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks. 
• Candidates need to qualify the entrance examination (RET) to get admission into any Ph.D program offered by the Institute.
