Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Noida is established in 2001, and it began operating in July 2001 with the commencement of the academic year. It started off simply giving diploma degrees and was first affiliated with the state university Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat. 

It was designated as a "Deemed to be University" in 2004 under Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. By NIRF Ranking 2022, JIIT was ranked 94th in the engineering category. Courses are offered in the streams of engineering and architecture, management and business administration, sciences, arts, humanities, and social sciences. JIIT Noida Admissions

Admissions are available for doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate programmes at the Noida-based Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT). The performance of the applicant in the JEE Mains is taken into account when making JIIT Noida B.Tech admission decisions. To apply for the courses, the candidate must satisfy the JIIT Noida eligibility requirements.

JIIT Noida B.Tech and Integrated M.Tech courses admission process

• Candidates must meet the requirements for JIIT Noida B.Tech. or Integrated M.Tech. admission. 
• They must take the JEE Mains test followed by UPTAC Counseling and pass it. 
• Fill up the B.Tech or Integrated M.Tech application form, and then submit it together with the Rs 1200 application fee.
• Only the All India Rank of the JEE (Main) examination will be used to determine the merit list for admission to Jaypee Universities from among the many applications that were submitted.
• The JIIT Noida campus will host the offline JIIT counseling procedure for JIIT-Noida, JUIT-Waknaghat, and JUET-Guna.
• At the time of counseling, candidates will be asked to rank their preferences for the institute, programme, and branch.
