About Shiv Nadar University
Shiv Nadar University, also known as SNU Noida is a private university established under Shiv Nadar Foundation. According to NIRF 2023, SNU is ranked 62 among universities and ranked 95 overall in India. Founded in 2011, the university is well-known for its B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc programs. Currently, the university offers 20+ UG, PG, Doctorate and Diploma courses under Management, Science, Arts and Research streams. Admissions to SNU Noida Courses are provided solely based on national-level entrance exams, such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, XAT and UGC NET for admission to the UG/ PG and PhD courses. The University also conducts an entrance test (SNUSAT) for admission to B.Tech, B.Sc, BA and BMS. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the university.
The University also comprises of 5 constituent institutes: School of Humanities & Social Sciences, School of Engineering, School of Natural Sciences, School of Management & Entrepreneurship and Academy of Continuing Education. High potential academic achievers are acknowledged by the university by receiving generous scholarships that cover part/ full expenses for the entire duration of the program. The opportunity of ‘Research and Teaching Assistantship’ allows students at the graduate level, to get the opportunity to delve deeper into their disciplines and teach the undergraduates. Gifted Student Scholarship: The outstanding academic rank holders to study at the Shiv Nadar University under the Gifted Student Scholarship. The recipients of the Scholarship gain direct admission to the program of their choice. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Top 100 rank holders in Grade 12 from the CBSE, ICSE, and Cambridge Board of Education
- IB grade points 42 and above
- Top 100 rank holders in Grade 12 from other State Education Boards
- INSPIRE fellows awarded Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: The University extends its support to financially-constrained students with academic strengths and potential. The students with 92% and above score in Grade 12 Board examinations with a family income below INR 12,00,000 a year.
Rural Scholarship: SNU covers the academic and living expenses in full for high-potential students from economically weak backgrounds, whose family income may be below INR 3,00,000 a year.
Sports Scholarship: Shiv Nadar University offers up to 100% Sports Scholarship to winners or participants at international, national, state-level tournaments in respective sports/games, recognized by national/international sports bodies. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify for the Physical Fitness Test and Sport-specific tests conducted by the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the University to avail of Sports Scholarship.

SNU Noida Facilities
- Hostels: The residential student hostels are state-of-the-art as well as gender-segregated. All rooms have basic in-built utilities and are designed as a comfortable independent unit. Each hostel is fitted with water coolers fitted with RO and purifiers, a pantry on the ground floor, microwave ovens, and other facilities. All rooms and washrooms are well-fitted. The lady’s washroom is designed well and feminine hygiene has been kept in mind. All the common areas of the hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. Both AC and Non-AC accommodation are provided for the students. The AC accommodation is provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Library: The university has a centrally air-conditioned plush library that offers an extensive collection of books, scientific and technical journals, as well as electronic reference materials that satisfies the academic and research needs of students and the faculty community. The library also offers online facilities like Library Catalogue, Journals/ e-books, Repository, Resource Sharing, Thesis, and dissertations as well as E- Newspapers.
- Transport: Transport services are provided for students and all members of the staff to facilitate travel to the city and any neighboring places during weekends. The services are provided to the students on a first-come, first-served basis.The student transport committee plans and manages this service, whereas the time for the bus service is decided based on demand and seasonal conditions.
- Cafe: The central library building consists of a cafe that serves as a common area for the faculty members and students to interact over hot sumptuous food outside the classroom. The cafe also offers a variety of food, snacks, and beverages for a quick bite in-between meals.
- Dining: The university offers several types of cuisines from all 27 states. There are two large Dining Halls (DH 1 & 2) that helps cater to the cultural and food preferences of students. The highest standards of hygiene consciousness are kept in mind. The dining areas are also well–furnished and fully equipped. Apart from the two main Dining Halls, there are also standards of hygiene consciousness and a food court in the main academic block; a cafe in the central library building and a variety of snacks are sold by the kiosks at the hostel block. The student-elected mess committee and the University administration closely monitors the quality of food served on campus.
- Safety and Security: The safety and the security of its students and faculty members are taken very seriously by the university. The entire campus is constantly being monitored by a multi-tiered, 24X7 security system. The Campus Security Team is also on duty for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as well as 365 days in a year which also includes holidays and academic breaks. The security personnel patrols the campus round-the-clock. High definition CCTV cameras monitor the academic areas, hostel blocks, and residential areas on the campus. Access to the campus is also strictly controlled.
