Govind Ballabh Pant University of Technology and Agriculture (GBPUAT), also known as Pantnagar University, was established in 1960 in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. It currently offers 2 Undergraduate, 8 Postgraduate and 7 Ph.D courses. The UG courses offered are B.Sc. and B.Tech, and the PG courses are M.Sc., M.tech., MVSc, MBA, MCA and M.Sc. Agri., as well as a Diploma in Hi-Tech Agriculture and 7 PhD courses. Admission to the courses usually begins by the end of March.

Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology has a composite faculty comprising young as well as experienced teachers. Every semester faculty training programs are started by the university to make teachers get acquainted with the best teaching methods. There are around 7-8 departments in the university and each of them is headed by the respective department heads. The faculty also has around 50 teachers from various student welfare departments.
Ques. When will the documents for admission be required?
Ans. Once the student has completed filling up the application form, he/she has to present the form with the documents at the university. This also requires paying the application fee.
Ques. What is the course fee for post graduate curriculum?
Ans. Post graduate studies include MBA, M.Sc., M.Tech., M.V.Sc and all of them have different fee structure. For detailed fees structure you can check out the fees structure available at the university website.
Ques. Can I change the course I have chosen during the admission procedure?
Ans. Yes, the university has the option for department change once you have taken admission into any of the courses but this has to be done before the commencement of the session. Next time you can change your course is after completion of 1 year in the chosen course. You can take admission into a new course just like new admissions.
Ques. What is the exam pattern for semester exams?
Ans. Every department like agriculture, technology, home science and science has its own exam pattern. The basic remains the same with theory exam for 50 marks and practical or internal assessment for 50 marks. You can check individual exam patterns for every department under the college menu on the university website.
Ques. Are there any summer internships offered by the university?
Ans. The placement cell of every department is active throughout the year and organises internship fairs every year to provide students with summer internships. Companies like Amul, Hero Honda, and ICICI have visited the campus for summer internships as well as job recruitment.

I didn't apply for other colleges as I want to pursue btech in agriculture entha and I have choosen this college because very few colleges are offering agricultural engineering in India and specially in uttarakhand only college of technology, pantnagar are offering this course. The addmission procedure is that our college accept JEE mains score and the councelling was conducted by Uttaranchal Technical university. Any for my branch it also accept ICAR score and councelling is done by nta icar itself for it.
