H.N.B Garhwal University, Srinagar offers various UG courses for a duration of 3-4 years. Students can also opt for Pharmaceutical and Hons. Courses. The basic eligibility criteria for admission in UG courses are 10+2 qualified with a minimum of 40% - 45% marks or its equivalent from any recognised board. HNBGU UG Selection Criteria

Candidates willing to seek admission in UG courses at HNBGU will have to clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The CUET (UG)-2023 will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. Candidates may register for CUET from the HNBGU portal or by visiting @cuet.samarth.ac.in. Few courses are offering direct admission. Admission to the majority of courses will be based on the CUET merit list.

• CUET 2023 is divided into 4 sections.
• Candidates will have to choose any 3 languages (maximum)
• Candidates applying for B.A, B.Sc(Yoga & Naturopathy) will need to give General Test to seek admission
• For B.Tech and B.Sc, Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• For candidates who are opting for B.Tech after the CUET 2023 merit list gets exhausted, a counselling session will take place on JEE mains’ merit score.
• Candidates who are taking admitted to B.Tech (Lateral entry in all the branches) at HNBGU will be selected on the basis of the CUET 2023 Merit list.

HNBGU UG Application Process

Candidates will first have to register on the official website of NTA after which they will have to register on the HNBGU portal. Candidates can check the process given below to apply to HNBGU:

• Candidates can visit the official website and apply only in online mode at cuet.samarth.ac.in/. No other mode of application will be accepted.
• Candidates must provide an appropriate e-mail ID and Mobile number for receiving confirmation SMS by NTA
• Candidates must enter their personal and academic details properly and upload the scanned copies of their signature, photograph, mark sheet and other certificates
• Candidates must pay the application fee in online mode through credit/Debit card/Net banking.
• Candidates must take out a printout of the application form for future use.

PG programme:

At the PG level the university the university serves Master of Science (M.Sc) programme under multiple specializations with a duration of two years for each of the specializations. Candidates need to hold a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline to fulfil the eligibility criteria.

The selection of the candidates in both of the PG programmes is made through an entrance test to examine the skill and efficiency of the candidates. The university conducts the admission of the candidates in terms of marks obtained in the entrance exam.

Doctoral programme:

At the doctoral level the university comprises Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) programme in Env. Plant Bio with a duration of one year. A Master's Degree in relevant discipline is needed by the candidates to appeal for the concerned programme.

An entrance test is conducted by the university to make admission in the M.Phil programme. The university makes the selection of the candidates as per their performance done in the Entrance test.
