Rabindra Bharti University offers numerous courses across three departments- Arts, Fine Arts and Visual Arts. The Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) course offered is a full- time 4 year course. 

• Rabindra Bharti University provides BFA Course in 7 different verticals- Dance, Drama, Rabindra Sangeet, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Musicology and Mass Communication & Videography.
• The minimum requirement to apply for the B.F.A program at RBU Kolkata is 10+2.
• Selection of candidates is based on the merit list released by the university based on qualifying examination scores.

BFU Kolkata BFA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to seek admission for the B.FA. program offered at RBU Kolkata shall have passed the minimum eligibility criteria for each program as mentioned below:

• Dance: The desired candidate should have passed 10+2 with special aptitude in Dance.
• Drama: Candidates who wish to enroll should have passed 10+2 with special aptitude in Drama.
• Rabindra Sangeet: For getting admission into this course, the candidate should have cleared 10+2 with special aptitude in Rabindra Sangeet.
• Vocal Music: For enrollment into this course, the candidate should hold 10+2 or its equivalent degree with special aptitude in Vocal music.
• Instrumental Music: Candidate must have a 10+2 certificate with special aptitude in Instrumental music.

The selection criteria for admissions to the B.F.A. program is based on 10+2 qualifying marks followed by the drafted merit list.

• Students can choose only one elective subject. Elective subjects need to be chosen within 2 months of course commencement and cannot be changed later.
• The coursework extends for 8 semesters across 4 years.
