Master degree holders with minimum 55% marks [with a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently abled] in the relevant subject shall be eligible to appear in the M.Phil. Admission Test conducted by the concerned Department. A degree equivalent to Masters degree may also be considered by the University.
Selection of the candidate to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of Kalyani University Research Eligibility Test (KURET) and interview by the Departmental Research Committee.
The entrance test for M.Phil. programs is held separately for each discipline. Although the pattern of the test also varies according to the specialization, it does test a candidate’s knowledge of research methodologies and the subject of specialization.
