Apart from this, single AC rooms are also assigned in addition to that athletic facility and other basic facilities are within the hostel. It makes it easier for the student to manage their mode well. 
• Placement: If we talk about the placement here are at par with other IITs and they are usually similar to 2008 league IITs. Recruiters for each core as well as non-core regularly visit here. Some regular recruiters for mechanical engineering are ISRO, TVS, Mahindra, Indian Navy, etc. The institute also offers IIP(Industrial Immersion Program). Through this program, eligible students are able to grab Internships from the first year itself in Companies like Mahindra, Tata, TVS, etc. It is unique to IIT Jodhpur.
