The candidate seeking admission after HSC must apply at Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). A grand merit list is prepared and Candidates get admission in branches of their choices at various colleges of Gujarat according to merit.
HSC Passout
For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have passed the Qualifying Examination i.e. HSC with 45 % (40 % for reserved categories like SEBC/SC/ST ) and GUJCET is minimum eligibility for admission in Engineering and Technology courses.
Eligible Subjects
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
For those who have not studied mathematics at 10+2
For Science stream students who have taken Physics & one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science, etc Can appear for an examination in Mathematics conducted by ACPC, and become eligible for admission on passing with min 45% marks.
Diploma Engineering
Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
