Latest Update: Rayat Bahra University (RBU) has announced the list of selected candidates in the university-level entrance exam. Personal interview (procedure after clearing entrance) of selected individuals is scheduled on the university campus on January 18, 21.

• The Ph.D. program is specialized in subjects, namely, Management studies, Engineering & Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hotel Management & Catering programs, Law, Education, Social Sciences, Sciences, Medical & Allied Sciences, and Computer Applications.

• University conducts its entrance test every year for admission to doctoral courses. University also entertains the exemption from the entrance test for the qualified students of similar National Level Entrance Test. Admission is also done based on the Research Aptitude Test and Personal Interview.

• The minimum qualification can however be a ‘Master’s Degree’ in a selective discipline from a recognized institution to apply for any doctoral degree program.

Rayat Bahra University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria 

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to get admission in the doctoral degree of listed electives as follows -

• A master’s degree in Management/ Engineering/ Pharma/ Social Sciences/ Law/ Sciences with at least 60% of the aggregate. 

                                                                                         OR

• A master’s degree in Education (or any related discipline)/ Sciences/ Medical & Allied Sciences/ Computer Applications with at least 55% of the aggregate. . Minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a scale of 10.0 maximum.

Note: SC/ ST candidates are given a relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent 0.5 on minimum CGPA criteria. Reservation for SC/ ST/ Physically handicapped as per UGC norms.

Rayat Bahra University Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

Admissions to Ph.D. are done based on the qualifying score in the entrance test conducted by the university. However, CSIR/ UGC/ NET qualified are exempted from the entrance test. GATE score is applicable if asked. The admission procedure is as follows:

• Register yourself. Fill in the required information. 
• Verify your Email.

Note: Exam dates may vary as per the vacancy of seats available in each discipline. Last year's dates were announced in mid-October (2020).

• Candidates clearing the exam will be shortlisted for the interview (at the university campus).
• Candidates must bring the print of the application form and other exam scorecards with them if asked.
