The placements are quite good compared to other private colleges in Kolkata or in West Bengal. I think after the 6th or 7th semester you are eligible for campus placements. The highest package was 20LPA and the average package was 4.5LPA.

Multiple companies visit this college such as TCS, COGNIZANT, ACCENTURE, VODAFONE, DELLOITE, WIPRO, ORACLE, IBM and many more. The college has been performing at the top of the charts in terms of placements from past so many years. The placement results are always in the favour of the students. Almost 90-95% of students get placed and many students opt for higher studies.

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, and many more. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average package as per the last year is 4.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is around 93%.

Last year the highest package from our college was 72.8 lpa from an R&D Company and they took literally 8 of the students each getting 72.8 lpa. The average package of salary ranges between 4 lpa to 4.5 or 5 lpa. In essence in computer science and engineering our college maintains a 95% placement in our domain. And the other domains are really impressive when it comes down to IT or Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication. My plan is to grab a high-paying job offer from this college and I'm really thankful to this college for all the amenities provided by them.

During the last phase of the sixth semester company started visiting our campus for internship opportunities. From the seventh semester onwards company starts visiting for full-time roles as well. Companies like Oracle, eQTechnologic, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, and IBM have visited our campus so far. Accenture has offered 150 students for full-time roles. The Highest package offered is from Oracle around 19LPA for my Batch. The average that I know would be around 5LPA.

- You should have a lot of potential and choosing the right institute will provide training and opportunities.
- Attaining skills are most important.
- UEM is a new institute and is not as good as IEM Kolkata.
- For management courses, BIBS Kolkata is offering a good enough curriculum and placement. But, there is no guarantee of placement.
According to the advertisements of IEM, they have provided chances of placement to every student in at least one company. But, being in the ads, there are chances that it is not the correct statistics.

Therefore, hard work and finding the institute with a proper course, placement training, exposure, and placement opportunities is what you need to do to increase the chances of placement in some reputed company.
Is the UEM Kolkata or the ADAMAS good for ME, and which one of these universities has good placements?
From the options given above, none of them are good. UEM Kolkata does not have good management at all. You will not find any good labs here. As far as ADAMAS is concerned, there is not much information available about it but my friends have said that is not that good either.
My suggestion to you would be to opt for computer science at either of these colleges. This is because pursuing core streams from either of these colleges will be of no help to you at all.
If you end up doing CSE, you can secure a job at a top MNC or IT firm. Due to the demand of CSE and IT graduates nowadays, there are more chances to get a job here, than in any core industry.

If you are looking for good labs at these colleges for core subjects, they will not be available to you. As a student, you will not be satisfied with this and the faculty is not that good either. You can opt for computer science engineering or eventually just go for Honors.

Here are a few tips from my friends at the institute which may be helpful.
- First, you should identify your interest in a particular branch and then do internships or short-term courses related to that. This can help you immensely in building your skills, even during the placements, and gives a good impression in front of the interviewers.
- You should also look for job opportunities on your own. If you manage to get a job even if it pays a little less. You will have a backup.
