RGUKT Basar Admission 2024: Selection List 1 (Released), Dates, UG, PG, Courses, Eligibility, Application Process

RGUKT offers a full-time B.Tech. (Integrated) program in six disciplines for the duration of six years. The minimum eligibility to apply for B.Tech. (Integrated) course is having passed 10th standard or SSC examination from a recognised board. Final selection is done purely on basis of Merit in the qualifying examination.

In case of a tie at the time merit list generation, the candidates with highest marks in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics taken individually will be considered for admission.

Key Points:

• Maximum age for this program is 18 years as on December 31 of the year of admission and for SC/ST candidates, the maximum age is 21 years. 
• Admission to 85% of the seats is given to Local candidates (Telangana State) and remaining 15% seats are unreserved and are given to candidates of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state. 
• Candidates belonging to other states will be given admission under Supernumerary seats.

RGUKT Basar B.Tech (Integrated) Application Process:

• Pay the application fee of INR 500 (INR 400 for SC/ST) by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking OR through TS or AP online centres.
• Fill the application form online by using registration number generated at the time of payment of application fee.
• Admission form for B.Tech. (Integrated) can also be obtained from the RGUKT campus by making a payment of INR 500 in cash.

RGUKT Basar also offers M.Tech (Computational Engineering) in Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the PG level. The minimum eligibility to apply for M.Tech program is having passed a B.Tech./ BE degree in the relevant field with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

Final selection of candidates is done on the basis of a valid score in score in GATE/ PGECET followed by Personal Interview conducted by the university.

80% weightage will be given to GATE or PGECET score followed by 20% to the interview round. Priority will be given to the GATE score holders over PGECET at the time of final admission.

Key points:

• 85% seats are reserved for local candidates (Osmania University Area, TS) while 15 % will be filled with students belonging to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under the unreserved category.
• Candidates admitted through GATE and PGECET merit are eligible for monthly assistantship of INR 10000.

RGUKT M.Tech Application Process:  

Follow the given steps in order to apply for M.Tech program offered by RGUKT Basar.

1. Pay an application fee of INR 500 (INR 400 for SC/ST) from any nationalized bank through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Director, RGUKT (M.Tech Program) Basar" payable at Basar.
2. Now visit the official website of RGUKT Basar and fill the application form.
3. Enter the details of DD while filling the application form.
4. Take the printout of the duly filled form along with DD and copies of certificates including GATE/PGECET scorecard to:
