Master of Laws [L.L.M] (Internationally Trained Lawyers)
Field of Study:
$59,790/Yr
By combining hands-on experience through our clinics and pro bono projects with courses that focus on the specific academic needs of those with legal training from abroad, Brooklyn Law School has created a unique program that will help its graduates become more effective and confident transnational lawyers.
Our program also facilitates specialized study in a number of areas, including business law, intellectual property law, and refugee and immigration law. While these three specializations draw on Brooklyn Law School's academic strengths, the Law School can also accommodate tailored study plans for those students who wish to specialize in other areas of the law.
LL.M. students are very much a part of the Law School?s thriving intellectual and cultural life. To facilitate integration into our community, we provide guaranteed housing in Feil Hall to all applicants meeting our housing deadline. Feil Hall is a modern residence hall located just a few blocks from the Law School with over 200 apartments.
LL.M. students participate in many of the same activities as our J.D. students. These include programs sponsored by the Dennis Block Center for the Study of International Business Law, membership in one of our 40 student organizations and participation with our pro bono projects.
To help prepare incoming students for the program, the Law School?s?Legal Language Institute?offers a three and four-week summer program in intensive Legal English.?
Designed specifically for foreign lawyers and law students ? whether enrolled in Brooklyn Law School?s LL.M. program or elsewhere ? this intensive training will be extraordinarily beneficial prior to any U.S. legal studies.
