Students in the Master of Science in (MSGDA) will benefit from foundational coursework in human genetics, cutting edge courses in the applied life sciences, and an innovative human genomics curriculum that combine to prepare them for the exciting field of genomic data analytics. This unique program gives students an opportunity to work side-by-side with future genetic counselors and applied life scientists while gaining hands-on experience with the technologies and information that are revolutionizing the future of medicine.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to utilize their foundation in genetics and genomics along with a practical knowledge of data analytics to be able to translate patient sequencing data into actionable clinical recommendations and bridge the gap between research scientists and clinical practitioners.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Applicant should complete the following courses: 3 credit hours of chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, statistics and 6 semester credits of biology and social science
- Official transcripts must be evaluated course by course from an accredited agency
- Applicants must submit a personal statement describing your career, personal and academic objectives
- Applicants should submit three letters of recommendation showing the potential to succeed in the program
- Submit CV
- Applicant is recommended to have experience in laboratory, research, counseling or health care experience
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
