The Forensic Chemistry major is designed to prepare students as professionals through rigorous scientific and forensic experiences necessary for a forensic laboratory career or related fields and/or to pursue graduate studies in chemistry, forensic science, or law. Program graduates will additionally acquire expertise in scientifically analyzing forensic evidence and in explaining its technical significance in a mock court of law. The Forensic Chemistry degree program follows the guidelines recommended by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC) and by the Technical Working Group for Education and Training in Forensic Sciences (TWGED).


Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

  • Submit official transcripts of high school and all previous education completed
  • Official transcripts should show last three years of result and the subjects taken during last year of secondary school
  • Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
  • Students have to submit one letters of recommendation and two if SAT/ACT exam score is not submitted
  • Submit a recommendation from a MATHS teacher stating your potential in subjects like trigonometry, calculus and pre-calculus
  • Submit a statement of purpose in 250 to 650 words describing a challenge faced, class that engaged your imagination and ways in which college coursework is different from school
  • Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL: minimum score of 79
  • IELTS: minimum 6.0
  • Duolingo: minimum 95
  • PTE: minimum 58
