Great academics and school spirit. FSU?s campus felt like home, but was far enough away from my hometown that I knew I could make it my own and feel like I was making a new life for myself. This college is also extremely well known and respected because it is old and has amazing faculty.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum of FSU is Challenging, but relevant to my profession and very interesting. The curriculum teaches me how to be a great professional educator and encourages me to think critically so that I can be the best teacher I can be when I graduate.

Exams :

SAT, received a score of 1860 combined after taking the exam twice during junior year of high school. GRE, received scores in or above the 80th percentile for each category for admission to graduate school for next year.

Placement :

Excellent. FSU graduates always rank extremely high for receiving jobs immediately after graduation. No matter what field you choose to enter, you have a great chance of getting a job you desire due to our challenging coursework, opportunities through our career center such as mock interviews and resume critiques, etc.

Internship :

Yes. Through the college of education, we are required to have a teaching internship before we graduate. We receive credit towards our degree for the internship which lasts about 6 full weeks, but received no monetary stipend.

Events :

Florida State University has a great homecoming week, which includes community service events, a show by a famous standup comedian as well as a pep rally where the band, dancers, cheerleaders, and other students perform, and a concert by a major recording artist at the end of the week. We also take pride in our football, basketball, softball, and baseball teams.

Fees :

Tuition must be payed at the beginning of the semester, housing fees if you live on-campus in a dorm, meal plan fees if you have a university meal plan, and any textbook or software rental or purchase charges.

Scholarship :

Yes. I have completed the FAFSA which has given me the Florida bright futures scholarship and has also offered me loans, which I have not accepted. I have also received private scholarships from my college.

Examination Structure :

Most classes have at least a midterm exam and a final exam. Some classes have exams during the semester that test students on lecture or reading materials. These exams are challenging and require a good amount of studying and preparation in order to be successful.

Faculty :

The faculty at FSU are all extremely personable and friendly. They are eager to help their students be successful and are always willing to go the extra mile to help students. Professors at FSU are experienced in their fields and conduct lots of valuable research that improves the lives of many.

Hostel :

I live in an apartment off-campus. I live with some of my friends, all female. We split the rent so it is manageable for us to afford rent and our school fees. We are close enough to campus that we can still walk to class.
