Location, scholarship, research, and everyone was very nice when I visited. I felt at home, and the campus was beautiful. I also wanted to go to a large school. I wanted to participate in Greek life, which is very large at FSU.
Course Curriculum
Difficult in a good way. The classes are challenging but push you to learn how to manage your time. There is also a large variety of classes offered, even within one major. For example, biology has various electives available.
Exams
I took the SAT and ACT. I also took English literature and environmental science as AP courses. I didn't get credit for the AP exam from the literature.
Placement
I am about the graduate, and within just the university, I got 3 job offers. There is also a career center that can help you find jobs, edit your resume, and much much more. I haven't heard of students not getting jobs.
Internship
There are more internships than I can list. You can get internship credit for almost anything you want to do. These internships can be within the university or outside the university. You can get course credit for them.
Events
Homecoming is a really big thing at FSU. We have a parade, and events all throughout the week, and also school off early on Friday. Football is also really big. We have free tailgates and private tailgates.
Fees
Tuition is really cheap. There are plenty of out of state and in-state scholarships. There are both academic and need-based scholarships.
Scholarship
Yes, my scholarship, which was an out of state scholarship, was just offered to me. I did not have to apply for it.
Examination Structure
Different professors make different exams. It is solely based on the professor. Generally, my exams have been a mix of matching, true-false, multiple-choice, essay, and free-response. Upper-level courses tend to have more free-response.
Faculty
The faculty is very educated. They come from very diverse and prestigious backgrounds. There is a variety of research backgrounds among them if you are wanting to get into that.
Hostel
I lived in a dorm for two years and off-campus for three. The first dorm was suite-style, but the second was apartment style. There are plenty of cheap apartments off-campus that are within walking distance.
