Martha Review at University Of Texas [UTA], Arlington | Collegedunia

Overall a Good School

M
8.7 /10

I chose this college because of its proximity to me and because it was the cheapest and closest to me. Also, I chose this college because they have a good mathematics program and the program I wanted was available there.

Course Curriculum :

In my opinion, the courses are rigorous but are necessary. Each course is connected to the next and the sequence of courses makes sense to my major. Although rigorous the professors are very helpful and make the courses doable.

Exams :

SAT was the only exam I took.

Placement :

Not applicable to me.

Internship :

Not that I know of.

Events :

Not applicable to me.

Fees :

The standard university fees were charged along with other charges for being an international student. I was waived for some charges since I am completely online.

Scholarship :

Yes. The process was harder than it should have been. To my knowledge, my financial application was sitting on the advisor's desk and wasn't processed until I called numerous times to ask about it.

Examination Structure :

The exams are mostly multiple choice with some fill in the blanks. Since I am taking online I have had to go to campus to take a test and I find that inconvenient as it was on a Saturday evening. Also, my alternative to that was taking it through an online proctor which costs $20 to me and that's inconvenient as well.

Faculty :

They are helpful and enjoy their work. They see this as more of their job and are always sending career resources available to us. The professors are easy to communicate with.

Hostel :

Not applicable to me.
