Master of Science [M.S] (Industrial Engineering - Operations Research)
Field of Study:
$23,100/Yr
Such topics as mathematical programming, stochastic modeling, and computer simulation are applied to the solution of problems in long-range planning, energy and environmental systems, urban and health systems, and manufacturing.
Operations research students may have a background in mathematics or economics in addition to any of the fields in engineering. Students specializing in operations research also have an opportunity to earn an MA in mathematics or applied economics by applying some courses to both degrees.
The operations research program at UB conducts sponsored research funded by such agencies as the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Justice, as well as such national and local corporations as United Airlines, Praxair, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. We often work in teams with faculty and students from our other programs, such as production systems and human factors, to solve problems beyond the expertise of any single discipline.
Important Dates
Apart from the given date international applicants who are not requesting for financial aid, their application deadline is February 15.
