Excellence in Skill Development

In the Instructional Technology classes, students learn about a wide variety of current and emerging technologies and how to include them in classroom instruction. Students will have multiple opportunities to actively engage in:

  • Learning audio/video production, digital imaging, and principles of visual design,
  • Working with cloud based, collaborative applications,
  • Planning and Producing Instructional Media for all students,
  • Designing and Developing Online Learning,
  • Integrating technology into all subject areas,
  • Building a Personal Learning Network and creating their own digital footprint,
  • Creating a digital portfolio that demonstrates their growth, abilities, and understanding.
Career Opportunities

Undergraduate students preparing to be teachers will be users and leaders of technology in classrooms and schools. The Educational Technology Minor gives them one more way to demonstrate their teaching skills. The Instructional Technology graduate degree program creates opportunities in classrooms and in the business community.

The Instructional Technology masters program prepares professionals for positions in K-16 educational settings. Our graduates are successful teachers, technology coordinators, instructional designers, trainers, web designers, or community college instructors.
