The faculty and staff of the Delta State University Counselor Education Program through teaching, training, supervision, and experiential activity develop ethical, competent, and culturally sensitive counselors who are prepared to work in school or community settings.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Applicants should submit official transcripts of all previous coursework completed
- Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA in undergraduate or 3.0 in last 60 hours
- Official transcripts need to be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency like ECE or WES
- Submit an essay that demonstrates your rationale for pursuing graduation degree in counseling
- Submit three professional letters of recommendation
- Complete group interviews with faculty
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 90 in ibt; 525 in PBT; 196 in CBT
- IELTS: minimum 6
- Duolingo: minimum 110
