The University of North Georgia (UNG) offers a 36-semester-hour Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction degree. The M.Ed. is an advanced degree designed for certified teachers who wish to increase their pedagogical knowledge within and beyond their own grade level and academic content. Within the degree program, a student is allowed to choose a focus area of study that will allow for a greater in-depth study of the curriculum and instruction process.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Submit GRE score of minimum 301 (verbal and quantitative combined) or MAT score of minimum 391
- Prepare a writing statement of five pages highlighting your career objectives, experience in the subject, describing populations you are interested in working with, personal strength and limitations in the subject
- Submit three recommendation forms from individuals who can address your academic potential, professional experiences and non academic experiences
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
