The Bachelor of Science in Applied Management (BSAM) is designed for professionals holding Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees. Whether you are currently working or just finishing your degree, the applied management opportunity creates a unique pathway for career advancement in your field.
Open to individuals with AAS degrees from any community college! NIU will need to approve your technical area of emphasis.
First, complete an AAS degree approved by NIU that links to a specific area of emphasis. Current areas of emphasis:
- Public Safety ? for individuals persons with approved AAS degrees in criminal justice, law enforcement, fire science or emergency management
- Instructional Technology, Training and Evaluation ? for individuals persons with approved AAS degrees in computer software development, graphic design, library and information studies, management and related fields
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have graduated their high school diploma
- Applicants must have passing grades equivalent to a US C+ average on all transcripts and/or exam scores
- Submit official transcripts of all secondary school attested in orginial language along with English translation
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 71 in iBT; minimum 527 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0 score required
- PTE: minimum score of 48
