The Master of Arts in English can be completed in two years of full time study or three years of part time study.?Additionally, the program emphasizes hybrid courses, combining classroom and online instruction.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of science degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts in a sealed envelope that is signed by authorized official
- Official transcripts must contain the list of all subjects taken and grades earned for each year of study
- Submit an official proof of graduation that should include official graduation certificate or diploma
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4 or a GPA of 3.25 in English related courses
- Applicants must submit a well-written cover letter of approximately 500 words indicating how their education or work experience has prepared them for graduate studies, and they should outline their goals in pursuing a graduate degree in English at USI.
- Applicants must submit a writing sample of approximately 3500 words. Examples of writing samples include literary analyses, rhetorical analyses, grant applications, or any other kind of professional writing
- Submit three recommendations
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
