The main campus of the Indiana Institute of Technology is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Other than this, it has 19 regional locations. The main setting is urban and other campuses are situated throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. There are over 40 student organizations available through which students get to connect with similar interest individuals.

Student activities like Homecoming, Welcome Week, Tournaments, Family & Friends Day are regularly organized.The athletic team name of Indiana Tech is ‘The Warriors’. Its bowling team competes in the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). A wellness clinic is situated in the university for the wellness of students.

Indiana Institute of Technology Residence

Indiana Tech has 6 residential halls, 2 townhouse-style buildings, and a summer housing facility. New international students are usually placed in Kalbfleisch Hall or Pierson Hall. There is also a residence hall association which is named Vocal Intersection Proponents (VIP). This association acts as a representative of on-campus residents and ensures better living conditions.

The full-meal plan is mandatory for all first-year students. All residents of Pierson or Kalbfleisch Hall are also required to take a full meal plan.All freshmen and second-year students need to stay on campus. However, there are exemptions available. A 350 USD housing deposit and a housing application are required to be submitted online to attain on-campus housing.

Indiana Institute of technology Scholarships

International students get scholarships to study in the USA at Indiana Tech depending on their previous academic achievements. Additionally, it also offers two full-tuition scholarships every academic year.

  • Merit-based scholarship:Based on their prior academic institution's grade point average (GPA), international undergraduate students can become eligible to receive merit scholarships of up to USD 13,000 per year. Indian tech gives accepted students the amount of scholarship they will receive.
  • Indiana Tech Elite Scholarship: Undergraduate students can receive this scholarship based on their academic scholarship amount of 15,000 USD. Freshers are required to have a 3.52 GPA and a minimum 24 ACT/1170 SAT score. For transfer students, the required GPA is 2.5 at the previous college and 3.52 GPA in High school. The required ACT/SAT scores are the same as freshers. Also, they are required to maintain a 2.75 GPA for a continuous scholarship.
  • Indiana Tech Presidential Scholarship: Students possessing leadership abilities or have the potential to become one are given this scholarship. Ideal candidates for this scholarship are those who show impressive examples of their leadership foundation in their communities. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.75 GPA for freshmen and 3.5 GPA for transfer students. SAT/ACT requirement scores are 26/1240 for both.
  • Sponsorship Programs and Outside Scholarships or Loan Resources: Students can apply for financial aid through their home country's government. This aid is transferred to Indiana Tech. The university ensures the genuine transfer of these funds to concerned students. Students can also opt for outside scholarships or loan resources through various search engines.

Work While you Study

For all the international students, the Indiana Tech Career Center employment information and services. Students can work on campus in a budget position. Job-description of international students shouldn't be read as ‘work-study '. The allowed work time is 20 hours per week. Interested students are required to follow some steps to get the job. They need to apply for the job and receive SSN, SS-5 (Social-security card, immigration documents, passport, visa, etc. Afterward, they need to submit a completed application and deposit it to the social security office. Later an Orange card is issued which is required by the university. They can start working after completing miscellaneous formalities.

Off-Campus: Overseas students can work off-campus as work in an internship named Curricular Practical Training. Students can work part-time or full-time during internship training which is an on-the-job training requirement under CPT.
