The demand for well-trained certified public accountants is greater than ever, and Quinnipiac's Master's of Science in Accounting program provides students with the appropriate coursework to meet the 150-hour education requirement for CPA certification. Our program is structured to maximize your success on the CPA exam by presenting accounting theory and facilitating development of the advanced skills necessary to meet the challenges in dynamic and complex, business, government and not-for-profit environments.The program courses are taught by highly experienced and qualified faculty who are dedicated to helping build a strong foundation in important areas such as public policy, corporate governance, financial analyses and global accounting practices. Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a bachelors degree from an accredited university
  • Submit all secondary school, college and university transcripts
  • Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
  • Applicant must have complete the following required undergraduate coursework:Introduction to Financial Accounting; Introduction to Managerial Accounting; Intermediate Accounting I; Intermediate Accounting II; Taxation of Individuals; Financial Statement Analysis; Business Law and Society

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent is required on a scale of 4.0
  • Submit a letter of intent
  • Submit 3 letters of recommendation
  • Submit a resume
  • Submit a personal statement
  • Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

English Language Requirements:

  • TOEFL: minimum 90 in iBT; 233 in CBT; 575 in PBT
  • IELTS: minimum 6.5
