- This program prepares the students to make their own contribution to this exciting field through the in-depth study of the production, protection, breeding, and genetics of plants.
- Much of their experience will take place in the on-campus plant science farms, climate-controlled greenhouses, and laboratories, where they will conduct independent research alongside leading faculty experts in the field.

Students can gain a sophisticated understanding of the interdisciplinary field, with specialized skills in areas like biotechnology, weed science, crop management, plant pathology and more.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligiiblity:
- Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in agriculture, biology, botany, horticulture, agricultural engineering, environmental science, natural resources or other related area.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the program.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
Scores Required
Students need to submit a minimum GRE exam score for a better chance of admission.
