Overview
ISU is a large school with a small-town feel. Uptown is incredibly safe and comfortable to walk through with charming shops and a lively atmosphere. The quad is beautiful and has every kind of tree native to Illinois. Moreover, at ISU there is something for everyone. It's a very accepting community and I feel very at home here.
Scholarship
Most of the financial aid is automatic when you file your FAFSA. In my experience, ISU is the most generous when it comes to financial aid and is likely the most affordable university in Illinois. I also applied to an art scholarship by entering the annual student art show and won a small award. There were over 30 given that night with many going to my friends.
Overview
This college has a well known and competitive psychology degree. I knew after coming here I would get a great education. I checked out the campus and loved it and the overall environment. Everyone was really friendly and also the vibe was really great!
Overview
The program I was interested in was one of the best. I talked to many teachers and parents that went to ISU and they all said really great things about the program I was going into and the school itself.
Scholarship
I have both scholarships and financial aid. You can apply for financial aid through the FAFSA website, it's very simple. Most schools post scholarship opportunities that you can apply for or you can research them on your own.
Overview
The business program was reviewed really well. I wanted to be close to home also because I'm only an hour away. I liked the campus as well and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I liked how it was small but not too small.
Scholarship
I have one scholarship that was given to me from the university for my ACT score of over 23. I receive a discount on my tuition of $2000 but must keep my GPA above a 3.5 to keep my scholarship. I have received no financial aid for this, or any previous, semesters.
