Bachelor of Science [B.S] (Nutrition)
Field of Study:
$23,536/Yr
The program includes two specializations; nutritional science and dietetics.
- The Nutritional Science specialization prepares students for health-related professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and public health, as well as graduate research in nutrition and other biological disciplines.
- The Dietetics specialization prepares students for the second step in becoming a registered dietitian (RD), a dietetic internship; and for other nutrition-related careers.
Nutrition professionals work to ensure that our diets and those fed to animals supply the substances essential to life. Nutrition combines the study of nutrition, a basic biological science, with studies of economic, political, cultural and biological factors that influence food choices and the nutritional health of humans.
With a degree in nutrition, you can join the network of professionals who have the expertise to provide the link between food producers and consumers, and between diet and health.
As a nutrition student, your studies will address issues relevant to medicine, agriculture and to society at large.
