The highly interactive program offers a wide range of study options dealing with contemporary biophysics, cancer, cell biology, chemical biology, immunology, insect biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and plant biology.

The students pursue a rigorous training program with diverse research opportunities using state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. A shared first year curriculum and series of lab rotations introduce students to the full range of the molecular biosciences research community.

The degree is excellent preparation for careers in biological and biomedical research, and biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Students who seek admission to the program should have completed the following course requirements: 8 credits of both organic chemistry and biology, 6 credits of physics and 4 credits of calculus. If a student is admitted with a deficiency in these courses, the required courses must be completed during the first year of graduate study.
