Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Communication with Public Relations] From University of Texas

In accordance with the University's mission to "contribute to the technological, economic and cultural development of the city and region," the curriculum emphasizes communication practices in a multicultural and multiethnic metropolitan setting. A specific goal of the program is to train minority students for professional opportunities in communication. The objective is a degree program of high quality which serves the professional aspirations of UTSA students as well as the economic needs of San Antonio and South Texas.The Public Relations concentration examines how corporations, governments, and civic groups create campaigns to manage relations with their various publics. Students will become information specialists, learning to inform their constituents and persuade them to take action through strategies which foster organizational goals and serve the public interest.
