The primary purpose of this program is to meet the educational needs of teachers who have already completed the teacher certification process. As a secondary school teacher, the MST-Biology program will give you the opportunity for advanced study, exp?erimentation, research, and involvement in professional activities.
If you are interested in a Master of Science (MS) degree, examine the Master of Science in Natural Resources. Most biology faculty have joint appointments in the College of Natural Resources and can serve as major advisors for that degree. You may also consider the Master of Science in Education. A science education faculty member may serve as your advisor.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit original copies of academic records from each high school, college or university attended whether or not a degree, certificate or diploma was earned
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent is required in last two years of undergraduate study
- Submit an essay describing your professional and personal goals
- Submit a copy of paper written by you
- Submit two letters of recommendation in the prescribed format
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Langauge Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 94 in iBT; 587 in PBT; 240 in CBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 7.0
