These might include those who have come via alternative certification, advanced into principalship, and now wish to earn their superintendency certification as well as an education-related masters degree, or those who will rise to superintendent certification via the new?TEA-approved alternative certification route via the administrative (fiscal/physical/legal) management of a district.
Offered in face-to-face, hybrid, or fully online formats, the Master Education in Administration & Supervision with an Emphasis on the Superintendency is designed for working professionals, giving you the flexibility you need to gain certification while still working full time. You will take classes from active or former superintendents through Blackboard Learning, an online interactive course-management platform that will allow you to connect with peers as well as other educational administrative professionals. Your certification will culminate in the TExES #195 Superintendent Exam.?
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Submit GRE scores
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 61 in ibt; 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 5.5
- PTE: minimum 43
