Each graduate student can build a customized curriculum based on one's interests. They may include courses from multiple departments and there is an option to create new coursework with the support of a professor where you decide your syllabus. Apart from courses that teach about the fundaments of a particular field of study, there are seminar-like courses that keep students updated with current happenings in the field. Projects in coursework provide hands-on experience and can lead to a research article by itself. Students are consistently encouraged to apply for fellowships and awards at department, state, national, and international levels. Research work leads to attending and presenting at many conferences which adds great value to your study. There is also an opportunity to gain experience in teaching by lecturing a freshmen-level course.
Approximately tuition fee is $16,000/- per semester for international student which is waived off if you secure a fellowship or an assistantship.
I think the course is very relevant and it is thoroughly revised in order to meet industry standards. The University hosts a lot of mixers, career fairs, research fairs, Company Days, etc. so that you have exposure to the best possible resources.
Around 32000 Dollars for international students
The course curriculum at Purdue is extremely rigorous. This is especially true for math and computer science courses. Many people I know have retaken at least one class throughout their time at Purdue.
I paid for both tuition, housing, and a meal plan at Purdue. Not including external expenses, this comes to about $22000 a year.
My opinion on the course curriculum is that it is complicated to a point where you are challenged but also at the level where it can be understood and the students can succeed in their coursework. You don't want it to be too easy or too hard, and I think Purdue has found their happy medium.
The fees are pretty straightforward for each college and the university as a whole. I think they do a good job of estimating personal expenses and keeping the tuition low enough to not be absurd.
The challenging but fair curriculum in college. All of the challenges will help you learn. Some courses are not applicable but more are very helpful in advancing career knowledge and readiness into post graduation
Tuition is based on state residency or country citizenship so more expensive for out of state or international students. Lots of grants and scholarships available for students and under certain income for certain size families can get full grants.
The syllabus is well updated from time to time. Industrial exposure is given through case studies and seminars.
