Mathematics and Computer Science are disciplines central to the liberal arts curriculum and to scholarly endeavors in all domains. The combined department at Emory offers educational programs and conducts research in mathematics and computer science, as well as several interdisciplinary areas. The department is highly regarded for research strengths in pure mathematics, scientific computing, and computer science. The department’s undergraduate program offers nine Bachelor’s degrees, three of which are joint majors with Economics, Political Science, and TQM. Exceptionally strong students may consider pursuing a BS/MS in either Mathematics or Computer Science/Mathematics.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.7 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
