Work while you Study
Work-study is awarded to students as a part of their financial aid. The students who accept work are paid every alternate Friday by the Bursar’s Office. To be authorized to work the following requirements need to be met by the students:
- Submit a copy of their work permit for financial aid.
- Fill a Student Worker Agreement Form before commencing the work.
- Submit the I-9 document and W-4 form to the financial aid.
Students get paid at a rate of 7.25 USD per hour and can work for a maximum of 193 hours per semester. This means they can earn up to 1,400 USD per semester during the fall and spring. On average a student is expected to work for 13 hours a week to get the full benefit by the end of the semester. It must be noted that it is completely the responsibility of students to keep a track of the hours worked and target to earn the entire amount of award.
