Started as a small business school, I.H. Asper School of Business has now transformed into an esteemed business institute. About 1800 students pursue bachelors, masters, and PhD programs at Asper School of Business. More than 1350 students reside on campus residence every year.
It offers 13 major programs in the undergraduate course, with B.Com. being one of the most popular degrees. James W. Burns Executive Education Centre serves as a home to Asper School of Business Executive. I.H. Asper School of Business Campus and Accommodations
Asper School of Business is based at the Fort Garry campus of the University of Manitoba. It is a green campus and is 20 minutes away from the city center. It comprises more than 60 major buildings and four colleges.
Asper school of business is located at the Drake Centre building. It has famous orange modular furniture and this space is preferred for guest speakers, luncheons, homecoming parties, and annual day events.
There is a Commemorative Room in the building. It has the nickname “the fishbowl “. It is a popular venue for student group meetings, study, and group project work. The Sony Study Centre is a good place for quiet individual work.
The campus also has the Albert D. Cohen Management Library comprising a huge collection of study resources in electronic and printed form. Library space can be used for small group study, workshops, and tutorials.
I.H. Asper School of Business Accommodations
Asper offers accommodations that are convenient and are minutes away from the classrooms. Every year, more than 1350 students reside on campus. Accommodation facilities include study areas, common lounges, security and support desk, equipped kitchens, laundry, etc.
Arthur V Mauro Residence is a six floors building with a capacity of 316 students in 155 suites. Mary Speechly Hall is a small residential hall with a capacity of 30-40 students. Pembina Hall is the newest residence. It is a high rise building with a capacity of 360 students. University college residence is in a traditional dorm style residence.
