Applicants are required to meet the minimum requirements specified by the university:
- Completion of the B.C. Grade 12 Graduation requirements or equivalency.
- An adequate level of English Language Proficiency (ELP) is required for all programs in the form of TOEFL, IELTS and other tests.
Supporting Documents:
- Statement of intent, resume and reference letters are required for admissions in graduate programs.
- Along with these documents, work experience is also required for graduate admissions.
- International students are required to have Study Permit to study in Canada.

Housing- JIBC currently does not offer on-campus housing. Students need to make their own housing arrangements.
Health Insurance- All international students will be enrolled in a mandatory Temporary Medical Insurance Plan upon registration. Students who plan to stay in British Columbia for more than six months are required to enroll in the British Columbia Medical Services Plan (BCMSP).

Financial aid is provided in the forms of scholarships, loans and work-study to the students who meet specific criteria.
