Visa Process for International Students
After receiving a Letter of Acceptance, students are required to apply online for a study permit to study in Canada. The Designated Learning Institute (DLI) for Northern Lights College is O19395299444. In addition to DLI, the documents required while applying for the study permit are:
- Proof of Acceptance
- A valid passport or travel document
- 2 passport photos with name and date of birth written on the backside of the photo
- Proof of financial support
- Letter of explanation
After submitting the application for a study permit and paying biometrics fees, within 30 days of time, applicants need to give biometrics. If the application is approved by the visa officer, the applicant needs to go for an interview.

Admission Requirements: The admission requirements vary with the programs. The general admissions requirements are:
- For Academic and Career Programs
- Successful completion of graduation or equivalent to graduation from a B.C. secondary school.
- Factors such as Work Experience, Skills, Maturity may be considered and students may get conditional admission.
- For Career and College Preparation Programs
- Age of 17 years and out of school for a minimum one year, or
- Age of 18 years or older
- For Vocational and Dual Credit Programs
- For most of the programs, successful completion of Grade 10, but some of the programs require completion of Grade 11 or Grade 12.
If the applicant does not have official transcripts demonstrating any one of the above-mentioned admission prerequisites, specific entrance assessments will be carried out for some of the programs or courses.

Once the completed application is received by the college, applicants will receive instructions regarding payment of application fees. If the application meets all the criteria defined for admission and seats are available for the applied program, a Letter of Offer will be sent to the applicant.
