Jainil Patel Review at University Of Guelph [UOFG], Guelph | Collegedunia

There are Good chances of getting into the University of Guelph

JP
6.7 /10

I applied to 4-5 universities based on the rankings. And I only got an offer letter from the University of Guelph hence I had no other options.

Course Curriculum :

There were few advanced-level of subjects which were offered by the university although most of the subjects are theoretical. However, the university does offer new courses relevant to ongoing problems in the industry which were quite interesting and helpful.

Exams :

Two prime requirements were IELTS score and Academic performance. The minimum score for IELTS would be 6.5 overall and for CGPA it would be 7.75 to 8.

Placement :

There wasn’t any particular placement program for master's students. Even though few companies visited sometimes to hire freshers.

Internship :

There wasn’t any co-op or internship in my program.

Events :

There were lots of extracurricular activities offered by the university. I will give it a 10/10 for that. Even during the pandemic, the university doesn’t fail to deliver additional resources and facilities to students. The university has a huge campus that includes laboratories, a gym, and sports fields.

Fees :

36000-37000 CAD is the program fees.

Scholarship :

No, I haven’t received any Scholarship but there were opportunities to get the post of Teaching Assistance if you match the criteria.

Faculty :

The university offers lots of subjects hence there were many faculties available. Also if you opt for the degree by project work, one faculty is assigned to you to assist you on project work which turns out to be a great learning experience.

Hostel :

I rented an apartment with my friends from university. It cost me about 300-400 CAD per month for a shared room.
