Campus Life:

There is a wide range of co curricular activities in the Indian campus only. I don?t know much about Canadian campus. Even in the online environment we had so many co curriculars. For example, two Saturdays in a month, we have a Super Saturday kind of thing where the university invites professionals from India or from Canada or some students that have transferred to Canada for their Pep Talks. Also, we have lots of clubs like dance, music, acting, cooking, and graphics. I am currently the president of a club which is an international organization Close Master International. When we were on the campus, we had a Sports Week kind of thing where students used to participate in different sports. The university made arrangements like they booked a Football ground or Badminton Court or something. We also had Teachers vs Students match. We have a Pool Table, Carom, Chess so that students can relax during their classes. One of the biggest co curricular thing offered by the university is Company Program. So every year, the university interviews the interested students and selects one of them and forms a company. So, they decide on a product, go to investors, do the investments, develop the product, sell it and they even have their shares. There is also a Tech Gear activity especially for computer students. They work with different university professionals and develop applications, websites or some hardware stuffs as well.

Hostel:

We don't get accommodation on our own very easily here, they provide us accommodation which is really good and if we don't opt for that then it would be difficult for us.

Yes, I live on campus its called the Baker's house. Right now because of COVID, we all are assigned one room without any room mate. Otherwise there is one room with two beds.

I initially took admission in UFV India and then I took transfer to UFV, Canada. One of the reasons was easy transfer to Canadian campus. Also it is ranked well in Canada.

I live with my meternal grandparents, so I don't have to pay rent or share my room.

One of the branch of UFV was in Chandigarh, so we could transfer to Canada after completing 2 years of our degree.

Yes, I lived in SD Hostel. We had 2 beds in one room for UFV students. We had a gym, TV room and study area too.

Because it's a Canadian university in India. It helps us to take Canadian study near our homes! We can either complete our degree in India or study for one year here in India and the rest for 3 years in Canada.

I choose UFV as I heard that there the education standards were quite good and some of my cousins had also done schooling from this institution.

I got a basement with my friends off-campus. The accommodation was almost 20-25 minutes away by car. The public transport is not good at Abbotsford however.

I chose UFV because of the concept that we can study in India for a minimum of one year and then can transfer to Canada. So we can make new friends here in India, and then those friends would be there with you in Canada when you don't have anyone else. Also, we will get to know about the Canadian style of learning and teaching while in India.

No, I don't live on campus as it is quite expensive instead of this I live in a Rented Basement which costs approx. 300 CAD per month.

The University of Fraser Valley was convenient for me in terms of location, finance and education infect it is one of the most affordable universities in Canada.

No, I live 2 minutes walk away from the university.

It had a really nice student transfer program from the Indian branch to the Canadian one. This also helps students financially and reduces some burden off them.

I live near the campus with my uncle.

The university is situated in a very peaceful location as well as the educational standards are also quite high. I have an interest in computers and hence I choose BCIS, as the university had great faculty with great knowledge.
