Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete 4 year Honours BSc or BHSc degree from a recognized university.
- Students should complete these degree in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, medicine, microbiology or physics.
- Students hold a minimum academic standing of 10.5/12 (on the McMaster scale) or 3.5 on a 4 point scale in the final two years of the Bachelor’s degree study in courses relevant to the program.
- MD students must apply through OMSAS for Medical admissions, achieve a high score in the autobiographical submission, and complete the MMI exercise in April.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution.
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, if students have given the GRE exam then it is recommended to submit the scores (minimum 300) for a better chance of admission.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Transcripts: Students have to submit transcripts from all universities/colleges attended, World Education Services Assessments, and English Language Proficiency test scores.
- Statement of Intent: Reasons or intentions for pursuing studies in this program, including a description of prior experience.
- Separate statement submitted by the applicant regarding their suitability, motivation, and career plans in MD/PhD studies.
