- The Master of Engineering Leadership (MEL) degree is for practising professionals who want to gain a competitive advantage. With its unique combination of graduate-level UBC Faculty of Applied Science courses and UBC Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School courses, this hybrid professional master’s degree will give you the skills and confidence to take your career in new directions.
- Each 12-month sector-specific MEL program was developed with industry partners to meet the needs of today’s forward-thinking organizations and professionals. These cross-disciplinary engineering and business programs enable you to build your professional network, work on industry-led projects, collaborate with talented peers and learn from award-winning faculty and industry change-makers.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related area or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.3/4.0 (B+ or 76%) is required to be eligible for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

To apply for the M.Sc Finance program of UBC you must have a four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last two years of study. You must also have at least studied one calculus course and one linear algebra course. International students must submit a valid ELP test score. GMAT score of 550 is preferred. For the M.Sc Business Administration program the admission requirements vary depending on the student’s educational background, work experience, and other factors.
Qualification and submission of GRE score is not necessary to get admission in the MS Pharmaceutical Sciecnes program of the University of British Columbia. You can apply for this program after completing a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with at least B+ grade and a valid ELP test score.

Students who have completed a four-years Bachelor degree in Engineering, Forestry or Medicine with a minimum of 65% from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the master program of UBC. Along with that you must have a valid ELP test score. GMAT/GRE is not required for this program.
