Placement:

The university doesn't provide any placements, and it isn't something specific to TRU, it is just how universities in Canada operate. TRU did however organize some career fairs which seemed useless to me. I think the average package that students get is would be around 40K-50K. If you work hard and develop skills during the 2 years, you can easily earn 60K-70K upon graduation.

I contacted CareerBrick in Delhi, and they helped me with the admission process. Gave IELTS after studying for 3-4 days from an online platform called Magoosh. The admission process was relatively easy. Got the confirmation from the university in a couple of months, and that's it. Also, I gave my GMAT too, although it isn't a prerequisite for admission at the university.

Placement:

There are co-op opportunities but for which you will have to attend a co-op course even before looking for such jobs. Other than that it is best to look for jobs using your own connections. Also being a finance student there aren't many opportunities in Kamloops for most students and they tend to move out of here.

I applied with my engineering transcript and IELTS scores for admission with help of an agent from India. It took six months to know a decision from the university's side. I selected this institution because being an engineer this is the only institution that takes non-business graduates for higher studies in programs such as post-baccalaureate diplomas.

Placement:

No placement. But there are opportunities to connect with people and build contacts. There is a career planning we can talk to

Placement:

Each year TRU hosts a job fair that attracts around 40-60 employers. Few of the visiting companies are Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Deloitte and TD Canada.

TRU provides options to work on and off campus. They also have a co-op program where we can gain career related work experience before graduating

Placement:

TRU does organize job fairs every year but they generally are the awareness purpose. I would say out of 10 only 6 people have got a job after the completion of their studies in their field by doing it independently and not with help of the University. University will help you in deciding and making plans for the career basically assisting students to find a job.

Internship:

No, I didn't get an internship.

Placement:

TRU has its own career and advanced learning centre. They can help to find a job after graduation. Also, we have Co-op programs and all information can be found on its website as well. Everything including average pay on co-op programs depends on your degree. For example, for Science, it is from 17$/h. TRU has Job Fair every March. You can go there dressed accordingly and with your resume and have an interview right there.

Internship:

There are jobs on campus but it is really tough to get one. You can apply at the campus activity centre during its hours but it is a really small chance that they will call you. Students are not leaving the jobs because there is no limit for working hours on campus.
